Anticipation Level:
How excited (or not) I am to see this movie...
I did not like the look of this. I thought it looked pathetic and unoriginal. The reviews were surprisingly good. So I went to see it. I should have trusted my instincts in the first place. What a load of trash this movie is. Vince Vaughn displays an utter lack of emotion as the "under-dog" of the title, showing that his poor portrayal of Norman Bates in the pointless Psycho 'remake' was not just his bad luck. With crap like Starsky and Hutch and Domestic Disturbance to his name, why is this man still getting work? Ben Stiller does his usual Zoolander meets Mr. Furious shtick (yawn-not so funny anymore to be honest), and the kid from Jeepers Creepers indulges in some more high-pitched squealing. Only problem is that in this film, he doesn't die. The film also tries to 'introduce' Dodgeball as a new and extreme sport-it's not. I used to play it in school 17 odd years ago. If immature crap is your bag baby, and you haven't seen The Karate Kid, Up 'n' Under, Happy Gilmore and every Ben Stiller film ever made, then MAYBE check this out. Otherwise buy Hellboy on Region 1 DVD instead.
