Once again i have to say Christian Bale should play solid snake in the movie. If anyone has checked out the trailer for the new movie Rescue Dawn. it is set with Bale playing the role of a airforce pilot gunned down into the vietnam jungle where he has to escape vietnamese soldiers and avoid them. it is even set in the 1960's. Similar to the settin of snake eater.
Naw, Josh Holloway would beat the crap out of him (the guy from Lost). Go back to the episode where he guns down the polar bear, he even moves like Snake. Plus, Bale can't grow a beard worth diddly. Holloway's got a 5 o'clock shadow like he was born for the role. The one thing I do give Bale, though, is he can keep a straight face. Half the pictures I've seen of Holloway he's got that cheeky smirk, like he just took some gum from a 7-11 without paying, or some other equally roguish behavior.
Bale is okay. He's got the seriousness down. But I'm going with Holloway too.
Besides bale is the new batman. He's already a movie star give someone else a chance. Not only that bales obligaton belongs to batman. MGS will most likely be a 3 movie franchise and with Batman taking up his time I don't think he's have time for MGS. Even if he did. I don't like when one actor plays two toon/comic/VG character on flim. At least not live action wise.
Okay, Josh Holloway could make a very good Snake. He has the voice, the looks and some of the movements of Snake. There are many actors who also pull this off ranging from Hugh Jackman to the guy who plays Mike Dalfino in Desperate Housewives. People have been debating the perfect Snake for ages. Personaly, Snakes voice is trademark so I think it really shouldnt be anyone else but David Hayter who plays him, he even looks similar. This, however, is very unlikely to ever happen so I think Christian Bale would be perfect. Not only does he look and sound like Snake but he is somewhat of a method actor. Just look at the dedication he put into The Machinist and that wasnt even that great a film, he was too good for it. I bet he's playing MGS over and over again as we speak just to get into character. Come on guys, we don't just want to look at Snake on the big screen and see someone that looks and hopefully sounds like Snake, we want to FEEL that it IS Solid Snake. Who better to pull this off than Christian Bale? I rest my case

Did you post this exact thing in a different thread?
Josh Halloway are you kidding me!?
Snake is not a pretty boy it needs to be someone who can act and be gruff and tough. They'll probably cast an unknown for the role and i say viggo mortenson might be a damn good snake same with Bale they just need to put more muscle on and Bale needs more muscle and such in his face.
