Latino Review has provided with a first look at a pic from Dreamworks KUNG FU PANDA, starring the voices of Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Ian McShane, and Lucy Liu. Black ("Shark Tale") heads the voice cast as Po the Panda, the laziest of all the animals in the Valley of Peace. With powerful enemies at the gates, all hope has been pinned on an ancient prophesy that a hero will rise to save the day. Film is not due out till 2008.

What do ya'll think about it? I've seen a bit more than the norm and it is looking like another great animated film coming. I especially love the characters!

I wrote a short piece about it for Screen Power Magazine (coming out on Dec 19) The snake is Lucy Lui's role (I think she's taken the role?) Dustin Hoffman is the little red panda looking animal between the snow leopard and the giant panda, Po

At first look, it made a good impression on me. *adds movie to list* I was like, "Wow, it looks frigin' awesome. Jack Black? Jackie Chan? Lucy Liu? Dustin Hoffman? Awesome cast. *runs in circles*". Love the pic.

Yeah, that's what I thought. The snake is definitely Lucy Liu cos I can see the red lipstick and the eyelashes. Dustin Hoffman is the little red panda?

I thought he was the brown-haired monkey, lol. On second thought, the little red panda does remind me of Hoffman. *holds magnifying glass*

So..the big black-and-white panda is Jack Black (obviously), the serious-looking tiger on the far right is Jackie Chan, methinks, the red panda is Hoffman, snake is Lucy and the monkey is McShane. Hmph. *shrugs*

I thought the computer is talking to me just now..it was the banner. *hides* Scary.

sorry to take so long to reply, but ...
the tiger (snow leopard) is Ian McShane and the monkey is Jackie Chan...fitting because as a kid studying Chinese opera he played the role of the Monkey King LOL

Thanks for responding. Better late than never.

This movie will be great. What studio is this movie in, by the way? Dreamworks?
