X-Men Origins: Wolverine “Don't get me wrong....” — x_evolutionist [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... I love Wolverine, I do. I really do. But the whole fact the movie is gonna be called "Wolverine" gives me a bad vibe. I'm sure this is just cold-feet, but spin-offs, judging from the first (of many, i'm sure...and maybe not that good a thing), Elektra, i'm just wishing and a-hoping they won't screw this up. Because Wolverine, well, he's just tops. And spin-offs, well, they're not. X-Men's been pretty sophisticated sofar, compartively anyway, for comic-based movies. Really based in realism, so the term 'spin-off' is not really somethin that catches my whole hearted devotion to X-Men. Besides, if FOX has to make a Wolvie spin-off and (from what i hear) base it around Weapon X, why not call it Weapon X ? I know it may not be recognisable, but its at least respectable, dammit! And while i'm ranting, I love Hugh Jackman and all, but why not an Origin movie? That would kick ass. ANYTHING, in my opinion, but "Wolverine: The Movie". But hey, thats just a thought.
