June 6 - With 20th Century Fox and Hugh Jackman's Seed Prods. moving forward with their Wolverine spin-off film, two directors have reportedly surfaced as candidates to helm the first solo X-Man movie.

According to IESB.net, the studio is "in talks" with Disturbia director D.J. Caruso. His other credits include Two for the Money, Taking Lives and The Salton Sea.

Caruso's TV work includes directing episodes of The Shield, Smallville, Dark Angel and Michael Mann's Robbery Homicide Division.

The site adds that Caruso is also being wooed by DreamWorks to direct an unspecified project there so Fox is also eyeing Len Wiseman (Live Free or Die Hard, the Underworld films) to direct Wolverine should Caruso pass.

Wiseman was first rumored as a director for Wolverine back in 2004.
