Deadpool...liked him early, the rest, *shrug* It's Wolvie's movie...sorry, I don't care. It'll get fixed in his solo movie.

Stryker: Danny Houston did a great job as the slime-ball Colonel

Victor Creed: Liev really captured that lovable psychopath Sabretooth. I would've rather they left the fact they're brothers hinted at instead of how it was handled. (Marvel once hinted that Victor was Logan's father)

Wolverine: Once again Hugh nailed it....expected nothing less from him. It was awesome they finally showed that Logan has always struggled with his inner beast. Heard people say he wouldn't cry...that's bulls***. He's cried when Silver Fox died, shed a tear over Mariko not marrying him, and ultimately when he killed her to spare her suffering a hideous death. The 'weakness' against Victor early on also followed the comics - when Logan confronted Victor over killing Silver Fox he was weak, Victor defeated him easily.


I enjoyed the action of Logan and Victor pounding the hell out of each other, and wished there was more action between him and Remy.

Yes it was flawed, but I enjoyed it, and would see it for the 3rd time in a heartbeat.

Ps: glad it's doing well, looks like a Japan or Madripoor sequel in the future eh?

Because when it's all said and done my friend, it's not about paying homage to your favorite comic book hero- it's about producing a product that sells... and sell it did. I know people that are really into the comics and I respect that.. but the majority of the viewing public "don't know jack". I actually overheard a patron in the theater make a comment when he saw Sabretooth " I think he's some kinda wolf-man"....
There are a few characters that I had to "Google" when I got home, but the last time I read comic books regularly.... they cost a dime. Every genre stretches the truth and distorts reality and physics all in the name of entertainment... Sci fi, fantasy and "Action movies" are the worst offenders. It's all about arousing emotions from your audience...... and... getting them to buy tickets.

The comic books have maintained a fanbase for decades.

Not to mention the fanbase has grown since comic book movies have become big.

Bottom line:

These movies SHOULD be made first and foremost for the FANS, and because the fans have loved them for years (because the material is damn good), the general audience will love it too.

Comic books have a negative stigma. EVEN NOW.

It's not earned.

Translate what's on the paper properly and these studios could take an 80 Million opening and turn it into a 120 Million opening.

Or more importantly, take the 80 Million opening that will drop DRASTICALLY by next week and maintain a higher overall paycheck.

But no, the studios want to continue to insult the fans and the movie-going public by dumbing down the material.

yes it is true that the movie took comic book history and peed on it but it is a prequel to a movie not a comic, it is loosely based off the comic book not totally, remember movies are made by more people than just a director, screen writter and the actors there is many factors that these movies are made, production companies want this to make money and they do studies to which will make the most money, like someone has mentioned these movies are not just for the wolverine fans, they are for the general public who probably doesnt know beans about Wolverine and his history but they know the movies

here is how i see it.
these are his early days of suffering.
he had creed with him, throughout the war years, so did not have to be as HARD.
now that bond is broken.
So now, from here you see him becoming the REAL BAD A**. when he trust no one and knows no family.

my opinion is, they should just take the comics and make the movies, right from the stories.
But, they won't, so I look at each one and decide, based on the reality they have created, did it fit? Was it good? Should there be another?
I answer Maybe, Yes and Yes.
I am still Hoping to see him battle Hulk or Wendigo.
Probably won't happen.
Especially since Jackman has said his Wolvie days are very limited

Amen! If you make movies just for fans (like Watchmen & it why it doesn't made a lot like some expected), it won't be that successful. Sometime you just have to make some change for the general audiences. Not all of 'em like everything from the comics.
