Honestly, I'm not a crazy comic fan. I just grew up with the toys and cartoons. The only one i followed in comic form is Spiderman. So i don't know how true this is to comic form but i don't really care because it's a movie, not a motion comic or anything. They change things because they can. There can be many different takes on the same story in movie form. Everyone complains about the screen time of Gambit and Deadpool but this is a Wolverine movie, not theirs.
Overall, I thought the movie was actually really good. Yes, first and foremost, Ryan Reynolds is cool as f as Wade Wilson and Gambit has so much potential. Neither had more than 6 minutes screen time. This does suck but like I said, it's called "Wolverine". the pacing was pretty good and the action was very intense compared to the Bryan Singer films and Brett Ratner's piece of **** X3. Victor Creed was just as great as Logan in this movie as he shows his steady descension to an animal. The cameos all by the team were done well, I found Wraith especially performed with skill. Will.I.Am can act a bit people!
The story is all to familiar of course and if you don't already know it you can guess it pretty quickly.
The whole introduction of Cyclops and Professor X was odd to me but I guess they were trying to connect the movies.
The fights between Victor and Logan were awesome, although short and the fight with Weapon XI had a touch of epic. Everyone acted pretty well with a few just straight up becoming their characters(eg. Ryan Reynolds) and the dialogue was handled carefully to make this a revenge plot as violent as possible in the Marvel world. It is true that they tried to fit in way too many characters and thus they were underdeveloped but again, this is a Wolverine movie and we stick with him and everything he goes through. Everything else is a bonus.
Like many reviews, the first 15-20 minutes is by far the best. Almost poetic is the opening credit sequence and the team's first mission is just plain awesome.
I don't wanna spoil anything so just go see it if you did'nt get a copy online. I reccomend it.

Do you work for 20th Century Fox? If you do, how much did they pay you for your soul? |
