Wow, what a movie...I can't even begin to conceive how awesome it was! I purchased the DVD the week it came out b/c I heard a lot of good things about it. (At the time when the move came out of the theatre, I did not care too much to see it then.) After seeing it via DVD, I could nt help but watch it a million times. I can't get tired of it because the emotions were so strong with the characters. I think Jake did a great job with Jack Twist and should have walked away with Best Supporting Actor instead of George Clooney! My favorite Part of the move is the entire segment when it starts out when Jack and Ennis were 'arguing" and Jack says, "we could have had a real good life together, but you didn't want it Ennis...So what we got now is Brokeback mtn..." to the end where Ennis collapses after he says "because of you Jack I'm like this..I'm nothing, I'm nowhere." Then BAM! Just like that, my heart was undone! Then my second fave part is when Jack tells Ennis.."To tell you the truth, sometimes I miss you so much I can't hardly stand it..." Deep stuff, friend, deep stuff I tell ya!
By the way, I have a question, Who was the "other Guy" Jack's dad was telling Ennis about towards the end "Then this Spring, Another feller gonna come up...Some Texas neighbor of his..." was that the guy with the beard who had a smoke with Jack outside after the social dance? Let me know! Anyone wanna write and tell me their fave part? Hope to hear from any of you Brokeback fans soon!
