Why can't all interfaces be like IMDb?

Don't mind me, just cranky, but I think it would be difficult to get comfortable here.

The bad:

So, we can't preview posts as they appear...

we have to see a bunch of flashy ads at the top of each post...

It's a narrow space for posting and it's kinda grey.

When replying, we can't see the title of the thread or the post we are relpying to. And that's what I've found so far. But,

The good news: we can be free here. We don't have to make a whole new website.
We can probably keep our old screen names.

On to the next post!
I love it that they have this one too!

Speaking of pics, I uploaded an avatar but wanted to change it, so tried up loading a new one several times and it doesn't seem to take.

I contacted pimpjoe about pics - it just takes a little while and it'll change.

I think the dog is a newfie, so maybe you show up as a newfie (newbie) when you start. It seems to go away!

Yeah, I miss the old format, too. But this is a reasonable alternative. Beats worrying if your thread will be gone when you check in again. And a lot of the smilies are the same--yay!

I'm kind of agreeing with Leslie and John. I bookmarked the BBM page, so I could come right to it, but then I lose it when I sign in, and quite honestly I have no idea how I finally found my way back here.
