| The shirts and "Jack, I swear" kill me |

| How can fiction be so sad? I'm not really into love stories, because I don't care if two people who never lived get together or not. But, that being said, this is the greatest love story I've ever read, scene, heard... (And yes, I am a gay man. 39, actually, Jack's age at the time of his murder.) Every time I think of the shirts, or Ennis crying his "Jack, I swear," it's like a punch in the stomach. I've lost loved ones before. I know grief. It's certainly not the same thing, but is reminiscient. How?????
