Friday Night Lights “Permian grad - can't wait” — glizzie [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... I'm a '77 Permian grad, and going to Permian was awesome! I was in the band, and that was an amazing experience. I can't wait to see the movie. I hope they do it well. The promos want you to think Odessa is a small town, but I wouldn't call 90,000 people and a student body (at Permian, not including Odessa High School and Ector High School at the time) of over 2,000 students as small, but other than that, the previews look pretty good.
