Derek Luke In Talks To Join Cast

January 16, 2004 — Derek Luke (Pieces of April) is in talks to join the cast of Friday Night Lights.

Luke would play the senior running back and captain of the football team in a gridiron-obsessed West Texas town who wrestles with his pride when he sustains an injury.

Lee Thompson Young is also in talks to join the cast.
