It's still crazy to me to think that Lucky McKee's second feature film The Woods started production before M. Night Shyamalan's The Village (which was also originally entitled 'The Woods'). Here we are years later and now United Artists is owned by Sony, which means that The Woods is now dateless once again (we need to find the film a woman already)! But the news gets a little more interesting, B-D was informed by a scooper that there's a chance Sony might unload the film to another studio- keep your eyes posted here, they're checking in with Lucky to see what the real deal is.

Sony Pictures was holding off the release of Lucky McKee's The Woods in order to try and obtain a PG-13 rating by removing some vulgar remarks- well a release date has been set, with no word on the rating just yet. Although the MPAA still lists the film as an "R" rating, we'll finally get to see McKee's second feature film on September 16th "R" rating or not.

LYT Rules confirms rumors that Lucky McKee's The Woods would be delayed once again. The new date? Yup, the dreaded TBD- this is ridiculous.
