So just what the hell is going on with Lucky McKee's sophomore effort, The Woods? You might remember it got rolling before M. Night's film of (at the time) the same name, and how there was the brief fight for the name in which M. Night lost and renamed his The Village. That damn thing's been out in theaters and on DVD, and there's still no word on McKee's movie.
Until now!
Someone by the name of Luke Y. Thompson recently put up an update about the movie on is official site, essentially saying the film is more or less finished and the rumblings for release are still set sometime in September.
He did say the official poster is almost ready to go, and the trailer will more than likely be showing up any day now. As you may remember, MGM will be releasing the film, so I guess we just have to hope that since it's so close to being done they'll do so early.
