I'm suprised no one has posted, I'm seeing it tomorrow with my Teacher, so i couldn't see it today, but I was hopeing for some details other than the inteligent critics who loved the movie.^_^ The only real Details I got were

Good:
The gore is great,
Atmosphire is astounding,
True to the game

Bad:
Story's choppy:
Plot lags:
30 minuts to long

At Movies.com, they now gave it a D, and Yahoo gave it a B+. So I hope to be glad I Sold chocolate bars and watch someone break there $300 ipod to help see it tomorrow.

I have seen it and loved it! It is very shocking, and gory. I think that many of you will be pleased with Gan's work
I plan to see it again with my dad, I forced my mom to see it today and after explaining a few things to her she really has opened her eyes to videogames. Well mainly Silent Hill, she now sees that SH is not just about getting the thrill of killing monsters and being scared but that these series take thought, etc. etc.

Good to hear that, I know a girl who forcerd her mom in watching her play all the way threw SH4, and SHe began to like it, well SH, not sitting threw the game, ^_^

Don't bring too many expectations when you see it, you will point alot of things missing that you hoped to see in the movie that's if you are a true gamer to the silent hill games. Go see the movie like you never have played the game before, then you'll understand.

well first off, it was fabulous. I was very skeptical at the beginning, but it progressed and got better and better. i wont give anything away, but a lot of the plot was hinted at, you kind of have to look at the details... i was the only one of my group that understood it lol, but everyone on this board should understand the plot easily. ill definitely buy the dvd/umd. enjoy!

Sweet so you got the PSP, Did you get SH:Experience? it's $20 UMD Video, but I'll get it when it's on sale, or I get lots of money.

Pyramid Head is one sexxy beast!

But why was he only in the movie so little? I was hoping he'd be in it more,
but over all i loved the movie, extremely gory and disturbing. mmmmm.

The length didn't bother me at all, except that i had to pee in the first half
and i held it til it was over. heh.

yea i got the Silent Hill Experience for my PSP. it had a lot of great stuff, including a 20 minutes interview with Christophe Gans it really added some backround to the movie when i went to see it. The comic books it had were... lol corny i guess. and its animated and the quotes disappear too fast so i can never read the whole thing in time hahaha. but yea- it should go on sale soon.

haha- pyramid head was in it more than i thought he would be, it was just focused more around Alessa, so he played lesser of a role... i think lol. but yea- the policeman at the door kept giving me funny looks because i left 3 times in the middle of the previews to pee jus so i didnt have to go during the movie... hahaha i ended up telling him that i had overactive bladder- he gave me a weird stare... lol but the movie was awesome, and pyramid WAS sexy

Seen the movie and I liked it! Resemble the game a lot, I loved the look of the movie. The action/horror started off a bit slow but the end was cool. I believe it to be one of the better Videogame-to-Movie movies.

There will be a sequeal.

In my opinion;
There should definutly be a sequal, but with a different writer. Definutly Keep Christophe. and it should be based off Silent Hill 3, It's just easier to continue for people who never played the game, and be better for fans to see the true story go on, quicker.

I might try to write that addaptaion, but I already wrote one before, and it was nothing like Silent Hill, But a few of my freinds really liked it. (None of them played the game)

I absolutaly loved the movie. Saw just yesterday night.

Only thing that I'd say was "bad" was that there wasn't evenough monsters. =\ they could have at least had more than one armless creature, or made the janitor scene longer cause I think he had some real potenal.

i saw Silent Hill last night and just wow....i really dont know how else to explain it.....with only a few small minor things wrong with the movie i'd probably claim this to be the best game adaption ever (imo Mortal Kombat WAS the best game adaption but now ive changed my mind).....i dont know what scared me more the actual movie or how many references to the game it had. It could easily spawn a sequel but with how it ended i dont think it should be based around sharon, i believe it should be Sean Bean's character Chris (and the fact Sean Bean is an amazing actor and he did a good job of developing chris already)

it was a great movie,i was clapping by the end.i kinda felt that in some parts there was to much time spent on just exploring the town,and the music througout the movie had me feeling that it was still a game instead of a movie,that kinda took some of the "real" factor away,but over all i did love the movie and i demand a sequel
