While I served in the military I met a lot of people and my basic training was in San Antonio, Tx. Being that every enlisted airman must go to San Antonio be trained we all had a feel for how life was in Texas. We'd travel all around the city and talk to the locals. When was trasferred to my new home station McGuire AFB I met a good friend of mine and he told me about a trip that he took while in San Antonio. He made claims that he had actually VISITED the REAL house where the REAL EVENTS of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre took place. Claiming that he spoke to people from around that area and confirmed to him that the movie was real and that there was a crime scene and everything. That relatives of the victims would visit the house and leave items in some sort of a memorial.
My question is did this movie have a real story behind it? I don't mean the Ed Gein story. I mean an actual family and Leatherface and a house. Can anyone clarify? I told my friend he was full of it. I sure don't think it really happened.
I heard that there were killing's that happened .There was a backwards family and all that but the leather face character was made up.Well thats what I heard some where in a documentry some time ago,who knows they never really exspalined it that well,it was just freaky that it wasnt all bullsh it.
yea... i think ur friend was full of it, cus the TCM is based off of ed gein, thats where leather face came from. there could have been a similar mass murder but not one that would inspire tcm
