Are you kidding? First of all, Freddy has already fought Jason. The result was entertaining but it was an event movie. A one-off never-to-be-seen-again-cl
ash of two of films most popular slashers slashing the hell out of each other in a brutal fight to the death (or not as it may seem) and this was a great novelty. But a sequel with the novelty gone? It won't work. FvsJ was a one-off just to see what it would be like and to make a second movie about the same bollocks is rather daft. Don't kid yourself people. Ash will NEVER fight Freddy and Jason. Why? Because the character of Ash is such a cult phenomenon and a fan-boy favourite, no sane film-maker would dare just stick him in the middle of a crappy sequel like this. Plus, he is a badass granted, but he's a mortal and hence couldn't do a thing against two unkillable *******. I somehow think he's above Freddy and Jason anyway, and if anything he deserves perhaps another Evil Dead film to himself, or a fight to the finish with some other horror icon. Personally i'd pay good money to see Ash vs Leatherface. But none of this will happen because the man himself Bruce Campbell is happy to sit back and enjoy his past glory, and he is getting on a bit. Robert Englund gets away with the oldness these days as he's got a ton of makeup over himself and Brucie won't be able to have that luxury. |
