Doubt it about 100%
with the new friday the 13th reboot nightmare on elm street reboot you can pretty much forget it,,if they both do good they will get their own sequels,,,freddy vs jason pretty much came around because both series were dead at the time...

I agree BUT...

The Freddy and Jason series were not dead. The only reason why it came out when it did was because it took 10 years to come up with a story that worked to bring these two together. They WANTED it to come out back in the 90's but it took a while to get it going. Otherwise, their series were not dead, they both came to a conclusion which then lead to Freddy vs Jason.

This poster already came up in a different thread.

This is an obvious fake. The photoshopping couldn't be more apparent, PARTICULARLY considering the AWFUL placement of the characters.

It WOULD be great to have a Freddy vs. Jason sequel, but I can't imagine that it's going to happen.

I blame all this talk about bringing Ash into the mix.

I have my own opinions about Ash that I WON'T state here, but I WILL say that he belongs nowhere NEAR either Freddy or Jason. Those three just DO NOT WORK together.

If you're going to bring in a third character, for GOD SAKE, MAKE IT PINHEAD!!!

Freddy vs jason vs ash is NOT HAPPENING. Sam Raimi did not want to give up the rights to the character. Thats why fans got the comic book version of it. Wouldnt even happen with the reboot either unless Sam decided to give up the rights to the new character from the next remake of the evil dead but without bruce campbell as ash, who wants to see freddy vs jason vs ash at that point.

I actually also asked bruce campbell himself about freddy vs jason and he said he wouldnt do it because he is too old for it and also confirmed that sam wouldnt sell the rights to the character. He did say that he would return for spider-man 4 and 5 though

I met him on the set of spiderman 3 and also once again at the my name is bruce theatre release in the city on halloween. I have a few videos of him as well during the question and answer session.

The idea was originally kicked around and a story was done up, which eventually became the FvJvA 6 part comic series.

They're currently putting out a follow-up 6 parter that pulls in all kinds of characters and history from both series of movies.

As for it being a movie though, it's been put to rest.
