If you recall, the boy at the end that blows up in the barbecue explosion, wasnt supposed to die. When Carter saved his life from the van, he caused a rift right?? WRONG, you see, the van was a news van that was there because the car accident that was caused when Kimberly had her premonition. However, kimberly was supposed to die in the car accident... so the boy was never really supposed to be hit by the news van.... Follow me? What do you think?

I believe you are mistaken. The news van arrived to report on the truck crash in the field caused by a popping tire, not by Kimberley's premonition. What's weird is that the news van explosion caused the death for Rory(cut into 3 pieces), so he would have died in a different way if the van had hit the boy, which it was meant to do.

I don't think they should have even done that. It was a very un-creative and dull life saving. Unlike the other deaths, where they tried stuff like telling the people they were going to die and other stuff when no matter what, the person died, Rory just had to push the kid out of the way and it was nothing like cheating a death.

the only thing i see wrong with FD2 is it says only Clear survived FD1, but Alex survived aswell. Even in the alternate ending to FD1 where Alex dies, Carter survives instead, therefor finishing with 2 survivors either way.

Alex died in the first and a half lol movie by:
A brick feel out of a wall and impaled him in the face, killing him instantly.

Carter dies by:
When the ending happens, there is a falling sign in the backround and then he asks " If deatch skipped you, then who's next? " You see Alex sitting there and by the time Alex tells Carter he's next..... THWACK!!!

Also I have a question- why did death work backward?
I know the overcomplicated ripple because they were all linked to the first film's victims but how did that make death work backward?

Death worked backwards by, the flight's # in the first movie was 180, if you do a 180, then you go backwards right? That's how it went backwards, and Kimberly seen a sign saying

Well that probably WAS the way that guy was supposed to die (the barbed wire fence) it wasn't that he WAS supposed to die a different way. The reason I know this is that the helped Ian by saving him, but death still comes after them both times, I thought that if they were skipped legitamitely, they wouldn't die...?

About the whole kid getting saved thing...that's simple...due to the fact that there was a major car accident, he may have gotten stuck in the traffic or even was watching the news about it when he should have been in a different area and gotten killed...just like the rest of the people in 2 when 1 was taking place. It isn't brain surgery my friends.

Death worked backwards because before, he tried starting from the beginning, and by doing that, the person that would have died last was able to run ammuck and prevent other's from dying by changing the future. By killing the last one off and working down the row, it was supposed to keep it from rippling out so fast...And, death figured the people knew how he was going to work, so he went a different way
