Kingdom of Heaven “movieking's review” — movieking2004 [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... Nothing Entered Yet! Movie Review: My thoughts on this movie... First of all , I have got to say that if you know about history of the crusaids and the history of the muslims , than you will understand the movie better . Now what I think of the story is that I know that alot of it is untrue to the history books , but the story itself was good as a movie , nothing to get upset about like some people I know . Orlando Bloom .... well what I have to say about him was , he put out the best he had in to this movie and I really respect that , at first I thought will this movie be good even if Mr. Bloom was in it ? I was wrong ! He did a superb role and so did Ghassan Massoud he played an superb Saladin with Khaled El Nabaoui who some people will know him from some arabic/egypitian movies such as Lost in the USA or Omar 2000 , he played a good role too. Now lets get down to Ridley Scott some say he did better in Glatator , some say not , well I say that this movie was alittle bit better the big G , becase 1 there was more story and better acting , plus less action which I thought was good becase if you put more action and lesser story than film will be as cheesy as Alexander. Also I love the sets and the costumes the designs were awsome and beatuiful by the way . I am glad that they ptray the muslims in a good light , finally something that they can enjoy , I mean how many films have you seen that they treat muslims good , no that I can think of . The christians got The Passion , Jews got alot of movies about Moses , I can't think of any know and the muslims got Kingdom of Heaven and The Message an old movie with Anthony Quin . This movie is highly recommended for history-buffs , movie-buffs , muslims and peolpe who just darn like a good movie to see over the weekend . Was this review any good?
