Ok I am giving a challenge to the people of this board and people who love epics. It doesn't matter how long it takes, but write a pretty good epic and post in in this thread. Who here can complete the challenge? I will also make an epic.

Also when you choose a country, or race, or people to write an epic about try not to do the same one.

The epic I'm writing is about the

Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

It's how they fought off the Russians, the Ottomans, the Swedish, the Mongols and the Teutonic Order.

Actually.....


I did write an epic when I was 13 and 14. It's called Quest of Courage and I'm trying to get it published, so I'm not going to post it here. Besides... it's 250 pages long.

Here's a synopsis of it...

England. 1066 A.D. Edward the Confessor
has died and three men claim the right to the
throne. Harold Godwinsson, the true king, faces
the rival claims of Duke William of Normandy
and Harald Hardraade, the ruthless king of the
North. Will Harold triumph? Or will England be
lost...
Meanwhile, Robert Godwinsson, the son of King
Harold, struggles with his cowardly nature. All he
wants is to overcome his fear of war and please his
father but how can he when he is haunted by these
strange nightmares?
Suddenly, like the light at the end of a dark and
winding tunnel, Robert finds help in the form of a
mysterious man who comes from a land all the way
at the edge of the world

There are times when I feel guilty...the question is, do I feel guilty enough to change?

I mine's called The Commonwealth.

And it starts from when the Kingdom of Poland and the Duchey of Lithuania joined together, and fought many enimies. It shows their beginning to their collapse to seperate countires once again.

And I would say the main character will be John III Sobieski who was a great military leader, became the king of Poland, and then became the king of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
