Underworld: Evolution “Review of Evolution” — Sausage_Demon [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... Well, it took it's time but at last the equal to Underworld is here, question is will it fall into sequal hell or be a shining example for all sequals? Well I saw it today, my expectaions were so-so though my excitment factor was huge. For a start the script is superior to the first one in every way, the characters got the much needed attention and have fleshed out immensely. The direcing was far better as was the cinematography, also the cool but very drab desaturated look is gone replaced by a more varied collection of lighting, giving more colour to the film. The gore level for all those concerned, is dramatically higher. The nudity is quite upfront. the effects also have taken a leap forward and the Big Lycan will blow you away. the plot is deeper, linking both films perfectly though it is rather linear and it doesn't take much to put it together but that's not such a bad thing in this case. Over all a much superior film, I reccomend all those who loved or loathed the original to see this one, you will not be dissapointed.
