This is my point of view. Lucian is not dead. did you not see when Marcus(vampire elder) and Williams(Lycan) father (Corvinus) was examining the body of Lucian? Lucian's neck was still pulsating. If you remember in the first Underworld Lucian drew blood from Michael corvinus(The hybrid) and injected it, in himself, therefore he has the same bloodline as the hybrid(Michael Corvinus). Remember the Lycan(Raze) in the first Underworld? He drew blood from Amelia(vampire elder) on the train. It is obvious that the third movie will be centered around Lucian(now a hybrid with the memories and power of the 3 elders-Marcus, Viktor and Amelia in which Selene and Michael will have to overcome. Lucian will have his hands full.
