How excited (or not) I am to see this movie...

Movie Review:
My thoughts on this movie...
For me, here are the good points:

1. Impressive cgi as usual.
2. Utterly fantastic battle at the docks. I didn't
think there'd be that many APUs manned by humans!
3. Very suspenseful flight of the 'Hammer' back to
Zion.
4. Superb defensive capabilities by the Machine City
when Neo and Trinity were on their way there.
5. Magnificent representation of the Supreme AI when
confronted by Neo.
6. A truly grand battle between Smith and Neo akin to
Superman 2 and Dragon Ball Z.

Matrix 3 is a complete failure as a trilogy
conclusion.

1. Nothing was explained, not Merovingian, not
Persephone, not the previous 'Neos', not the cookie-
cake-candy phenomenon, not the so-called 'Train Man',
not why Neo's mind got trapped in the train station
after immobilizing the sentinels in the real world,
not even the reason why Smith became so powerful that
he overran the entire population of the Matrix.
Persephone was just there to say one line and to show
her 'assets.'

2. You or I could have written a better script for
this movie. All the time we spent analyzing Reloaded
was in vain. What a let down for all the fans who put
forward grand philosophical predictions of their own.
I would have settled for an ending where it turned out
that aliens were playing a game, as a a good friend of mine predicted. If the
Wachowskis just wanted to present another
run-of-the-mill, action-packed, fx-filled sci-fi
flick, they should have never made their thinking
audience expect too much from their trilogy.

3. Since machines are supposed to be logical, how come
peace between them and humans was the conclusion after
Smith was defeated? Out of gratitude for the help Neo
gave the machines? Gratitude is a 'human sentiment'
totally devoid of logic. Either side would inevitably
reach the conclusion that the other is still a threat.

4. Missing premise: Agent Smith was utterly destroyed in
Matrix 1 by Neo. Other than the Wachowskis desire to
recycle Hugo Weaving's successful character, there was
never any reason given, whether obvious or implied as
to how Smith survived. Furthermore, there was no
explanation given why Smith acquired the power to
assimilate other programs as well as a human like
Bane. I had hoped this would be explained in Revolutions.

5. How Neo's mind
got trapped in the so-called (and unexplained, I might
add) 'Train Station' even when he wasn't plugged to
the Matrix is a mystery that will haunt me to the end
of my days.

6. BLATANT MOVIE INCONSISTENCY: Notice that after Trinity
rescued Neo from the enigmatic train station, back in
the real world, Neo had to be 'unplugged' from the
matrix. How could this be since he was not plugged in,
in the first place? If you are watching it again,
watch carefully.

The Wachowskis should have just left the ending to the
imagination; open-ended for people to imagine their
own conclusions to their individual level of
satisfaction.

Overall, it wasn't really a bad movie. I guess I just
expected to be 'awed' by deeper levels of revelation
as Matrix 1 & 2 did.

The Wachowskis inadvertently reduced their own magnum opus into a mere cgi/anime.
