My thoughts on this movie...

So much of The Matrix sequels plot is left to our assumption. Which is a bad thing, because the words "plot" and "assumption" dont really belong together. At the end of this film Agent Smith kills Neo then Agent Smith explodes. Why? You decide. Its almost as if the Wachowski bros made this stuff up as they went along. "whatever looks best" they probably said. Alot of it though, admittedly does look very good. Only a lot of it is also distant. The main centrepiece of the movie doesnt involve Neo, Morpheus of Trinity. Hell, it doesnt even feature Niobe. As a result, we simply dont care what the outcome is. At the end of the movie the big cyborg sentinnel monsters DONT kill the citizens of Zion-yay! Theres still billions of pod people but who cares about them eh? Its Zion we care about now, not the pod people. Is the war over? No. Are billions still slaves? Yes. But its ok, because a bunch of prats living in Zion DONT DIE! Now thats what I call a miserable ending.

Thoughts on the DVD release of this movie...

If the thought of Joel Silver slimily bigging up the Wachowski "boys" on a regular basis, then these are the extras for you. One of the Wachowskis apparently is in negotiation for a sex change, so thats most probably why they never show up in these makings of...they're freaks!
