November 4, 2003 — Keanu Reeves tells AP that Australia is an appropriate place to be as he celebrates the opening of The Matrix Revolutions.

"For us to be here where we began filming in 1997, and to be here now is right," said Reeves, who is in Australia to promote "The Matrix Revolutions," the final movie in the series.

Much of "The Matrix" movies were filmed in Sydney, and the city's skyline was a frequent backdrop for the shootouts in which Neo and his friends battled evil machines.

"It couldn't have been made anywhere else," said producer Joel Silver.
