In addition to the recent world premiere of The Matrix Revolutions at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the films unveiling at the exact same moment in time in every major city around the world on November 5 will be prefaced with two spectacular international events the Australian premiere of The Matrix Revolutions on Sunday, November 2 and a countdown event to the worldwide simultaneous release on Wednesday, November 5 in Japan. The announcement was made today by Sue Kroll, President, Marketing, Warner Bros. Pictures International.
On November 5, audiences all over the world will be able to see the most anticipated film of the year at the exact same time," said Kroll. "We have planned two special events culminating in the film's unprecedented simultaneous release, which is a fitting way to lead in to the long-awaited conclusion of one of the Studio's biggest franchises.
The stars and filmmakers of The Matrix Revolutions will be in attendance at the films Australian premiere, which will be held at the Sydney Opera House. They will also be in attendance at the countdown event in Tokyo, for which they will shut down the Kabuki-cho Cine City Square, a theater complex located in Shinjuku, the busiest, ultra-hip section of Tokyo. The event will also be fed to screens in nine of Japans major cities, which will also open the film at the same time.
