Anticipation Level:
How excited (or not) I am to see this movie...
The "brilliant" twist at the end of the first one that her daughter was still alive sent shivers down my spine. The cinema was after all very cold.
Movie Review:
My thoughts on this movie...
This feels like someone trying to be Tarantino, rather than the man himself. Basically, a decade ago tarantino was fresh and new. Now, he's not. The main problem with this film is that it underlines the pointlessness of Volume 1. Why was Bills face covered up when here hes in practically every scene? Why was the Brides name bleeped out but here its simply mentioned? Why do we see Lucy Luis backstory (in crappy anime) in Vol 1 yet we see no backstory for anybody else? Volume 1 creates a sense of mysticism, a sense of wonder and secrecy. Volume 2 confirms that there was no reason for any of it. It simply didnt mean anything. the whole story is, Bill was jealous coz she left him, so he shot her. thats all there is to it. Its a disgrace really. Its awful, such tripe. Now compare that to Pulp Fiction. Jeez, no comparison. And it completely wastes a cameo by Samuel L Jackson.
DVD Review:
Thoughts on the DVD release of this movie...
The extras are crap, like the films. The films are pure money-making hokum and in a years time they'll be long forgotten.
