alot of the oscar noms come in early because there are just so many of them

the one was
Best Sound and the noms are

Finding Nemo- because its CG nothing is real

Kill Bill: Vol. 1 - all the swords...and the limbs hitting the ground

The Last Samurai - swords

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - swords..creatures of mordor

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World - canons and stuff

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl - swords and canons

Seabiscuit - horse effects

There's usually only 2 (i think) nominees for the best sound editing. The actual nominees will be announced along with all the others at the end of the month.

LMAO Thanks for those explanations! I think those are like the pre-noms that are considered and then voted on to see who actually gets noms... the sound in this movie is really cool, but ROTK is probably gonna get it... just like every other award

no..6 is the usual amount of oscar noms for each catagory

but this year it looks like its 7 for each catagory

i think its 6 for the actor catagorys
