just watched A3 last night. what a better film it is now. I saw it at the flicks and hated it but the new one is top notch i still hate the bad CGI alien in parts but its not so apparent in this version till near the end. One question i am having trouble getting my head around is if there is only 1 egg how did the face hugger manage to impregnate Ripley and the Bull? doesn't it die after its finnished like in the original?

I'm not a regular on this board(I fact I've never been here before)but I have to answer your question.

There were 3 eggs.(Three eggs three victims. Thats how the alien mind works)

The first facehugger impregnated Hicks. Then it fell off and died. Hicks then dies in the crash.

The second impregnates Ripley with a queen and also falls off and dies.

The third goes for Newt.(You see this during the opening credits)It gets cut on the glass of the cyro-tube and it's acid blood causes the electical fire on the ship. The EEV is then ejected before it can impregate her. Either that or she's already dead when it gets to her.

That leaves that facehugger free, so it stays in the EEV until the dog comes across it.

Also can someone tell me what's up with my sig? Along with the Pic of there was Jules famous quote from Ezekiel 25:17(my all time favourite movie quote btw) but it wont come up. Can anyone help?

at least the fourth one had some great scene like when the aliens are swimming underwater. The second movie ( aliens ) is the best

Too many people fail to realize that the only bad point for alien three is the bad characterization. i love the movie and like the fourth one even more, but Alien is still the best and Aliens, while not as good as Alien, is still better than the last two. Stop your whining!! They're great movies, even if they don't quite live up to the standards of the first two. Plus the cinematography in 3 is to die for, it's just so good, even if the crappy CG alien almost ruins it.
