Let us know your thoughts, but be courteous to other posters who haven't seen it, and use spoiler tags for major plots points.

First, let me say the movie is great, I really like it. The animation is beautifully done, and the render and textures are, without doubt, much better than the first one.
But... I think the plot is not strong as the one that brought Sid, Manny and Diego to life. We meet some new characters, in my opinion to many to deal with; some are good and funny aditions and others just feel like if the movie could go without them.
It is obvious that Scrat is a great character, and the creators are aware of this. We've got to see more of his frustrated efforts to obtain the acorn. The gags are fun, but they would be funnier if they hadn't been spoiled by showing them in the trailers, and the ones that were not, are somehow predictable.
In general the movie is fun and enjoyable. It will be part of collection when it comes out in DVD. I still think they could have done better, and that it is good, but not as good as the first one.

Saw it today. It was very funny, and I guess
Scrat sort of saved them...kinda.
The best parts were the singing vultures and the
Titanic-like sequence where Manny saves Ellie
We went to see the movie, and it was good. Not quite as good as the original, but still funny enough to invoke laughter from the audience, and a few "oh no" moments when Scrat is trying to get the acorn.

The new Opossums were amusing, too.

There was a lot of precocious humor that the smallest kids would not get, but enough Looney Toons action to keep them giggling.

It was really Manny's (Ray Romano's) story, although they seemed to promote the sloth a lot, but he really wasn't central to the plot this time.

The Fire King part was funny, too. "Mini-Sloths"

It was cute, and had some good gags. I didn't think there was very much of a story to it. It seemed to be a series of adventures all sort of tacked together to make the movie.
