Hey everyone! didn't realise the dvds were released so late in america it came out a few weeks ago in the uk so I wondered why no one was talking about it! (this is pasted from pirates3 site, i guess its more relevent here)

Ok so everyone should watch the DVD commentaries because it makes everything much clearer!
What I have found out:

Jack appearing in a coffin and then falling in the grave were early indicators of his death.

The point of the scary castle thing at the beginning was just to show that there's always another story with Jack.

The point of the island with the tribe was to demonstrate that Jack cannot be safe on land or sea, and to contrast his confused desperation prior to the island with is new established plan after they escape from the island, to show Jacks back to his own self.

Bit of a spoiler for those not figured it out yet...
Big emphasis on the lockets in both Davy and Tia's possesion, also when Tia talks about the woman D fell in love with there are big hints she is talking about herself, she is the one who saves barbossa from death, because of who she is....
The compass does not show what your heart desires but what you want most(there is a difference).

For Elizabeth the compass points at Jack because she lusts after Jack, but not because she loves Jack, she also later mistakingly thinks the compass is again pointing at Jack when in fact it's pointing at the chest the whole time.

For Jack the compass has pointed to Elizabeth the entire film she is always on his mind, it is hinted this is more than just lust(love! ) and we'll find out more in the next film!

Jack and Elizabeth are playing games with each other, they both sense that there is an attraction between them, Jack having been played by Liz in potc1 on the island, now tries to get even with her with the whole "marri-age" "you won't be able to resist" talk, but she counteracts this by almost seducing him, so they are both trying to seduce the other but at the same time trying not to be seduced by the other, which is why they nearly kiss but don't. (hehe i love that part)

Elizabeth kisses Jack because letting him die is the only way she can see to save Will who she loves, by kissing Jack she can both satisfy her lust with the knowledge that the guilt she feels for being attracted to Jack will die with him.

Hmmm very interesting! To add my opinion, Jack will love Elizabeth more now because she is a "pirate", by this jack means a person willing to do whatever has to be done to get what they want, somthing Jack tells Elizabeth he admires in the scene "peas in a pod" in potc1.

Dear God I LOVE this film!
