I watched POTC2 once, and I have a question about something I may or may not have seen...
When in the "witches" hut for the first time, when jack is stealing something I am pretty sure that it shows a locket.
I think it is the same as Davey Jones', but I have only seen it once, so I can't confirm..
If anyone has seen this, please post if its true and any theories/

It's true, I've already questioned this in one of my own posts. My theory is that Jack bartered with Tia Dalma a while ago for the compass. For the compass, he bartered the locket, which he got from either Davy Jones or the woman he fell in love with, which would have thrown Jack into a love triangle with Jones and his love and thus greatly angered Jones. I think this all hapened shortly after Jones raised the Pearl for Jack. Complicated theory, but it fits as far as I can tell.

More likely Tia Dalma got the locket from said lady who broke Davy Jones` heart. It is entirely possible that (gathering from the other material I`ve read contain spoilers about PotC 3 and other things I`ve seen) Tia Dalma is actually Circe.
According to props that came out of the box that had the chest with the heart, the letters were addressed to and from Calypso. And according to the leaked first part of the rough draft PotC 3, Sao Feng (http://en.wikipedia.org/
wiki/Sao_Feng) mistakes Elizabeth for Calypso. So it is entirely possible that Calypso was said lady who broke Jones`heart.
How does this connect? In the Odyssey, both Calypso and Circe appear. Circe is able to give information to Odysseus (the info about going into the Underworld to retrieve info to get home to Ithaca.) She has some powerful magic (like turning Odysseus` men into pigs), not unlike that which was hinted at by the actress (Naomie Harris) concerning Tia Dalma.
It is possible that Calypso gave Circe the locket.
Its a theory, that`s all.

Yeah, I have heard this theory, and I cant see why it wouldnt be possible. For heavens sake, Tia Dalma can bring back the dead!
