According to MovieHole, Robin Williams has finally got the hint. To hell with the bleak, morbid, befuddled movies he's been doing lately and back with the zany comedy I say. If Jim Carrey had been doing what Williams has been doing - back to back psychological dramas - he'd be back renting a trailer in Canada by now.

Williams - whose new film "The Final Cut" is getting scathing reviews - is set to reprise his role as the loveable dad with a penchant for getting into old lasses clothing. Yep, "Mrs Doubtfire 2" is on the boil.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Williams is in early talks to reprise his role as Mrs. Doubtfire and resume producing duties with Marsha Williams. Bonnie Hunt also is in talks to pen the project.

In the original, directed by Chris Columbus, Williams played an estranged father who poses as a Scottish nanny, Euphegenia Doubtfire, in order to get access to his children and successfully bypass his ex-wife (Sally Field).

The film grossed $219 million domestically. The film garnered two Golden Globes in 1994, one for best picture (comedy/musical) and one for Williams as best actor in a comedy/musical. The film also won an Oscar for best makeup for Williams' elaborate transformation into a frumpy, bespectacled older woman.

Sequels to some of Williams' other hits have been discussed over the years - At one time he was set to do "Good Morning Chicago", I kid you not - but this is the first one that actually looks like going ahead.

I don't know...
