In borwsing the stacks the other day, I came across a book by Sir Arthur Quiller, and finished by Daphne du Maurier which uses Castle D'Or as the center of the story in Cornwall. That's a lot different from the Arthurian canon.

So, they are taking the 'modernized' version of the love story from this book (which sets it in castle D'Or in the 19th Century) but sets it into a dark Ages period.

I don't have any real evidence to support this, but if its true, thats one of the first times I've ever heard that a book's story was set backwards in time.
