3.5 Stars out of 4

I went into this movie thinking of it as new Dirk Pitt adventure, obviously because of all of the changes from the book. I laughed hard throughout the movie and I enjoyed the action sequences. Although some parts of the movie were a little unrealistic (the heroes never getting shot or injured, a 150 year old canon beginning to work) it was a very fun action/adventure flick. It was very much in the style of Indiana Jones and it could certainly develop Dirk Pitt into the next franchise character. Overall, this is the movie you would want to see on a friday night with a group of friends.
