Development-Hell.com has a review of 'Serenity' posted from the recent round of screenings in the US - and it sounds like it's a hit!

Simply put, the film is excellent. It's funny. It's exciting. It's intense. It's practically bursting with heart. It's everything you always hope summer movies will be, but they rarely are. In his cinematic directorial debut, Whedon has crafted a film that truly reminds you what exceptional science-fiction filmmaking should feel like, in a time when "acceptable" has become the standard. With a strong emphasis on character over spectacle (without short-changing the spectacle), a fast-paced storyline that doesn't let-up until the end credits, and a talented cast across the board, Serenity is a smash hit.
