July 28, 2003 — About.com recently uncovered a few details in regarding The Bourne Supremacy, sequel to last summer's box office hit "The Bourne Identity," starring Matt Damon.
Producer Frank Marshall gave some details about the upcoming sequel to The Bourne Identity. The Bourne Supremacy, which is the second book in the three book series, well start shooting in November. The director is Paul Greengrass who did Bloody Sunday and Tony Gilroy is writing the original script. Matt [Damon] will be back. It will take place in Berlin, Moscow and India.
The film will have to stray from the novel, just as the original did. It will be totally different. The stories in all three books are very dated. Its about the cold war and things that have all been resolved and are over with. Marshall would not reveal who the villain of the film would be, but said that Bournes ultimate enemy is still himself.
The most classic of villains, one's self. Perhaps that's an indication that this sequel won't forget what made the first film a success. |
