Nicolas Cage's action thriller about searching for a lost treasure among the U.S. landmarks, "National Treasure," leads the box office for the third week in a row and is the 18th movie of the year to pass $100 million.
Overall, however, box office attendance is down, about 10 percent lower than the top 12 movies of last year at this time, and about 46 percent lower than last weekend. The post-Thanksgiving movie-going slump is often attributed to last-minute holiday gift buying, but this year it's also due to a lack of highly-anticipated holiday films, like a sequel to the "Harry Potter" or "Lord of the Rings" series which has dominated past seasons.

"Treasure" dug in another $17 mil and fell 47 percent, for a total treasure of $110 mil, while the comedy "Christmas with the Kranks" came in a distant second in its sophomore week at $11.7 mil for a $45.6 mil total.
