The Coming Soon! Box Office Report has been updated with the studio estimates for the Thanksgiving weekend. Be sure to stay tuned there for the final figures on Monday.

After a slow year so far for the studio at the box office, Walt Disney Pictures made a big comeback with a one-two punch over the five-day Thanksgiving weekend. The studio's National Treasure, starring Nicolas Cage and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, was the top movie for a second straight weekend with $46.2 million for the five days and $33.1 million for the three-day Friday-to-Sunday period. The $33.1 million is the sixth-biggest opening for the three-day Thanksgiving frame. The action-adventure has collected $87.9 million in two weeks.
