The Passion of the Christ “Work of Art” — leprekon [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... I had anticipated this film quite a bit. A lot was because it seemed to be very controversal, and also the story of Christ is dear to me. Movie Review: My thoughts on this movie... Mel Gibson's Masterpeice When I went to see this movie I expected to see a graphic portrayal of the last 12 hours of Christ's life. When I left the theatre I realized I saw so much more than that. The movie's artistic genious was breathe taking. As an artist I was blown away with the visual beauty of this film. Yes, the beating is very graphic, but it was also very moving. Those who have little or no appreciation of art, religion, or history, will probably not appreciate this film. But for all the rest of us this film is a masterpeice.
