The first time you miss some things, but the second and third I hear you see more and more detail. Movie Review: My thoughts on this movie... The Passion of the Christ is the best movie of Jesus' death and resurrection ever made. It's necessarily violent because of the violence of Ancient Rome. It's filmed beautifully with flashbacks to cut the horror of the violence. The flshbacks are telling the story of why He is dying for humanity out of love. The looks of love between Mary and Jesus are beautiful. The change in Simon of Cyrene is incredible. If you haven't read the Gospels, read the Gospel of Mark, the shortest one, and go see this movie.
