| The Passion of the Christ |
| Anticipation Level: |

| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |
For those people who don't understand what the passion is all about, this movie will naturally come across as excessively violent and graphic. For people like myself, never before has a movie moved me as much.
I don't blame people for thinking it is a violent movie BUT the fact is that Jesus was crucified, he was scourged, he was hit, spat on, and called names. There is no other way to show his suffering, it was real, it happened, and there was no "soft" way to depict that. I think people owe Mel Gibson a great deal for helping them remember what really happened. This movie helps you relive and realize what Jesus went through for us...selflessly.
Liberal NY Times movie critics have tried to intellectualize this movie... does selfless love ever make sense?
If you belive in Christ, I think this movie will help strengthen and deepen your faith in him. I thank Mel Gibson for reminding me what being Christian means. |
