| The Passion of the Christ |

| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |
|
I was thinking of starting this by saying that I was a Christian and, thus, might have had a pre-formed bias as to what I thought of The Passion of the Christ; however, after seeing the film and reflecting on my life thus far, I questioned myself. I thought of all the genuinely bad things I had done and, sadly, still did. But this film was a reminder of what Jesus did. After all he went through for me, what right have I to betray him with continuing to live in sin?
I used to be cruel and harsh and do entirely ungodly things. Even though the movie has only been over for forty-five minutes or so, I feel different. I feel cleansed and as if a huge burden and depression has been lifted from my shoulders. From this point on, I refuse to concern myself with vain things such as skin complexion and a few extra pounds. That's not what matters. This film portrays what matters and I hope that it will be a wake-up call to everyone in the world as it was to me. |
