In WWII, Disney was part of the war effort, making aseries of anti-Nazi films as well as ones to sell war bonds and more. Very interresting. You can't see these any more. Some very taboo stuff.

Donald Duck has a nightmare that he is a Nazi.

Sadly, I remember seeing Uncle Tom's Cabana as one of the cartoon shorts played on Captain Kangeroo when I was little. It was in the late 70's. Not that long ago, considering the racist content.

Yeah, I watched the Hitler's children video about a month ago in history class. I really like the part where Hitler rescues the German maiden and starts ranting and she starts saying Heil Hitler!

Frank Capra, the guy who made It's a Wonderful Life and M. Smith Goes to Washington, made a series of "news reels" called "Why We Fight". Now there is some heavy duty propaganda.
In one of the shorts, they talk about Germany invading Russia in the Battle of Stalingrad. It goes on to say that we must help the Soviets because they are one of our strongest allies in the fight for Democracy. Funny stuff.
