They always say comedy is hard, but this latest rumour from the usually reliable long-time source 'Joe S' about a new Jim Carrey comedy that's pegged to be one of the biggest releases this Christmas paints a picture of just how difficult it can be:

"The saga of one of the most overlong comedy feature shoots in recent memory continues. "Fun with **** and Jane", which filmed for 114 days of principal photography earlier this year (some 25 days over schedule), is now back for more.

Apparently 60 PAGES of re-writes were done (since "whittled down" to 40), and five weeks have been allotted to film them (although one source says that it is a sure bet to go over). The ending is on tap to be altered too, and "the studio wants more Jim Carrey over the top" type stuff according to a source.

The next leg of filming is scheduled to begin this week in Los Angeles."
