June 11, 2003 — The Autobots and Decepticons -- the quintessential 80s tranforming robot toys -- are coming to the big screen, if X-Men executive producer Tom De Santo gets his way. (Cue Domo Arigato voice: "Robots in the sky!") Here's a little chunk of the article running on the wires today.

"DeSanto is currently working on a story treatment for the project before he and Murphy hire a screenwriter to adapt it for the big screen.
