I was debating whether I should post anything up given what has transpired. We have waited 9 years for this moment and not even I thought it would turn out this bad. 10 million dollars national profit is just one huge slap in the face.
The scene where Goku shoots up into the air and kills Piccalo was how he killed him and was, I believe, the best scene in the movie.

The movie was more than just a dismal failure it was a catastrophe! This movie was a first attempt and is proof to Fox and anyone else who would attempt a second try that Dragonball requires much more respect, dedication, talent, original reference to the series, and much more than Fox has given it. Basically it will require everything that was given to "Lord Of The Rings"
Everyone here has made so many great and valid points about the movie, and I am in agreement with everyone here that
Fox does not have what it takes to accomplish this. It was said by someone here that because of this catastrophe, there may be no other producer wiling to take on this project for another 10 years if ever. Fox did loose millions and because of this we may have to wait a long time before another attempt is made.

Even though we the fans have suffered a great disappointment, it is through faith and hope that we may yet get to see another attempt made that will be successful. It may take 10 years for this to happen, but when it does and Dragonball becomes a huge success DragonballZ will hit the big screen and it will be glorious! We must not give up hope because i believe that one day our time will come

Wow long time no see You should definately speak your mind. While I dislike Fox and they've been making flop after flop recently, they have shown in the past that once in a while they will actually take fan input into account, only after the film fails of course.

Daredevil and F4 are getting their reboots and Deadpool is getting his chance to redeem himself after Wolverine. While I'm not saying Fox WILL do the right thing and stay closer to the source for a future film, but true fans have to hold out hope that this won't go out as the only attempt at a good film from this franchise

What you say is correct though, they need writers and a director who aren't afraid to translate the crazier, fantasy aspects to the screen. Anthropamorphic beings and incredible, implausible technology are fun little aspects of Dragonball they tried so hard to avoid in this film even though that would have helped seperate it from the rest of the crap Hollywood is churning out these days.

The effects sucked pretty bad too, which is hard to excuse when films with similar budgets have done far better in the past. I don't even want to start on the horrible changes to the plot. Namekians are evil? Sayians are Namekian lackies? WTF?!

We have to voice our frustrations and vent our anger in the mild hopes that Fox will get the hint and at least attempt a Reboot. Or if not, hope that they lose the rights to it and someone else later can see the fans' gripes with this film and try to avoid making the same mistakes.

Best quote from Red Vs Blue:

Doc: I'm a pacifist.

Caboose: Your a thing that babies suck on....

Tucker: No dude, you mean a pedophile.

Church: Tucker, I think he means a pacifier.

Tucker: Oh...yeah....right....man my mind was totally somewhere else.

Church:.....that's real classy Tucker.....
