Dragonball movies will get better. Dragonball is just when he was just a kid, so of course i think they would make this a kids movie. But i believe that when they make movies for dragonball Z saga stories like Vegeta, Frieza, The Androids, Cell, Great Saiyaman, and Majin Buu. Then hopefully Dragonball GT. They can make these movies great as they go from story to story. If you look at the new Harry Potter trailer. The CGI and the dark look of it, and it seems to me to be very live action Dragonball Z esk . Also the end battle in The Matrix Revolutions.Tell me what you think guys. I just hope for the best, for one of my favorite cartoons growing up.

This franchise is dead on arrival...there wont be any more films in this series. A better title for this film would've been 'Box Office Garbage.'

Well i hope there is, because i would love for them to do the future movies, but in a darker way. I'm a script writer. I will write a good follow up story. With King Vegeta, Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz. And maybe a cameo of King Cold and Frieza. I'm moving to L.A. later this year. With a couple of movie scrips and ideas. I will make it happen.

I know it isn't out yet but it was alway going to be hard (nigh impossible) to make a DECENT live action version of DB considering the fighting styles/moves etc required.

Best bet really would have been for a totally CGI movie (kind off on the beowolf/ FF:spirit within style)

However if you do a CGI movie I think generally the cinema going public don't take them as seriously as sucky live action ones.

PS - I'm refering to more "adult" CGI movies rather than ones targeted at kids (ala shrek)

Only positive thing about DBE is I think they started the story off at the right place. (introducing Picolo as a villian first before going into the saiyan saga)

Then again the movie might not suck but also pigs might learn to scuba dive as well as fly at the same time !!!!

I wouldn't be so sure. Regardless of what you think about the movie itself, it's not unprecedented for a movie like this to make huge bucks at the box-office (Wild Hogs).

They call 'em fingers, but I've never seen 'em fing.....................

My problem with doing it cgi like Advent Children is that it's so close to the cartoon format that I don't see the point. For me it's live action or just don't bother and i'll just watching the anime. But a LA franchise will never be good so long as it remains in Fox's hands. I've watched enough scenes online now to know how bad this film is. I absolutely hate how much the term reboot is thrown around these days, but this is one of the few films that desperately need it if any future sequel is to be made.

Agreed. The cartoon is horrible, so this will be as well. I'm shocked that they would waste money making this film.
