NO it does not, and that is very worrysome. That also conflicts with something Chris carter recently said which is that the events of X Files 2 are supposed to take place right after the last epi. which should mean that: 1. They are on the run from the law and wanted for federal crimes. 2. They are no longer FBI agents. & 3. They are together as a couple.
If all three of those things are not still in play, then no it absolutely will not make sense.
Anyway except for the part where the blurb referred to them as "Special Agents" there is nothing in these pics to indicate that they are FBI again. Just being in an office does not mean it's necessarily and FBI office.
I have to say I am worried about this one.

Here is something strange... there are no direct links in this photo that they are FBI again...but if you look closely at the the file cabinets, the binders and the COFFEE MUG! You will see something that resembles the federal seal...I don't know, but it's looking like this maybe a prequel? take a look, I might be way off on the seal... it sure does look like it though.

Also there are missing persons posters on the wall. They may also be breaking in to the office. IDK.
